According to UKRMETALURGPROM data, in Jan-Feb 2021, steelmaking enterprises of Ukraine produced:
— Agglomerate – 5.31 Mt (104.0% to Jan-Feb 2020);
— Coke – 1.60 Mt (99.9%);
— Pig Iron – 3.51 Mt (104.5%);
— Steel – 3.51 Mt (98.9%);
— Finished Products – 3.15 Mt (100.3%);
— Pipes&Tubes – 0.123 Mt (89.6%).

As of 11 March 2021, the following main production facilities are in operation: 17 of 21 Blast Furnaces, 7 of 8 OHFs, 14 of 16 BOFs, 5 of 15 EAFs and 16 of 17 concast machines.

The Provision of Enterprises with Main Raw and Energy Resources

Iron Ore Raw Materials (IORM)
The provision of steelmaking enterprises with IORM in Jan-Feb 2021 was on the level matching the steelmakers’ demands. There was no import of IORM within this period.
The IORM export in Jan-Feb 2021 was around 7.09 Mt (98.0% to the same period of 2020).

Coking Coals
In Jan-Feb 2021, Ukrainian coking plants received 2.06 Mt of coking coals (102.2% to the same period of 2020), of which:
— 0.60 Mt of the Ukrainian origin (87.3% to Jan-Feb 2020);
— 1.46 Mt of imported (110.0% to Jan-Feb 2020).
The import share in the total coking coals delivery in Jan-Feb 2021 is 70.9% against 65.7% in Jan-Feb 2020.

The Metallurgical Coke
The total coke delivery to steelmaking enterprises in Jan-Feb 2021 is 1.359 Mt (101.6% to Jan-Feb 2020), of which:
— 1.33 Mt of the Ukrainian origin (99.5% to Jan-Feb 2020);
— 0.029 Mt of imported (there was no import of the coke in Jan-Feb 2020).
The import share in the total coke delivery in Jan-Feb 2021 is 2.13% against 0.0% in Jan-Feb 2020.

The Bought Steel Scrap
In Jan-Feb 2021, 596 Kt of steel scrap (146.1% to Jan-Feb 2020) were collected, of which 566 Kt (142.6% to Jan-Feb 2020) had been delivered to the Ukrainian consumers. It was exported 30 Kt of steel scrap in Jan-Feb 2021 (273% to Jan-Feb 2020).

The Natural Gas and Electricity
In Jan-Feb 2021, the national steelmaking industry had consumed up to 330 million cubic meters of the natural gas (106.5% to the same period of 2020).
The electricity consuming by Ukrainian steelmaking enterprises in Jan-Feb 2021 is up to 1920 million kWh (104.9% to Jan-Feb 2020).
