Ukraine in the World Ferrous Production in Jan-July 2021
According to Worldsteel, in Jan-July 2021 steelmaking countries of the world had produced 862.85 Mt of the pig iron, of which 801.07 Mt by BFs and 61.78 Mt as DRI. This is 6.73% higher to Jan-July 2020 (808.47 Mt).
The first place belongs to China, steelmakers of which in Jan-July 2021 had produced 533.50 Mt that exceeds Jan-July 2020 (521.51 Mt) on 2.30%. The share of the Chinese pig iron in the world production in Jan-July 2021 is 61.8%.
Ukraine (12.65 Mt or 107.8% to Jan-July 2020) occupies the 10th position among 38 world pig iron producers.

The steel world production in Jan-July 2021 is 1165.34 Mt that is of 12.40% higher than in Jan-July 2020 (877.61 Mt).
China is a leader of the world steel production as well – Chinese steelmakers had produced 649.33 Mt that exceeds their steel production of Jan-July 2020 (601.23 Mt) on 8.0%. The share of China in the world steel production is 55.7%.
Vietnam (15.08 Mt or 169.3% to Jan-July 2020) had raised from 12th to 11th position, shifting Italy (14.99 Mt or 126.5%) down to 12th position.
Ukraine (12.73 Mt or 107.4% to Jan-July 2020) occupies 14th position among 64 world steel producers.
