Ukraine in the World Ferrous Production in Jan-Sept 2021
Pig Iron
According to Worldsteel, in Jan-Sept 2021 steelmaking countries of the world had produced 1091.09 Mt of the pig iron, of which 1014.74 Mt by BFs and 76.35 Mt as DRI. This is 3.86% higher to Jan-Sept 2020 (1050.50 Mt).
The first place belongs to China, steelmakers of which in Jan-Sept 2021 had produced 671.07 Mt that less than in Jan-Sept 2020 (679.83 Mt) on 1.29%. The share of the Chinese pig iron in the world production in Jan-Sept 2021 is 61.5%.
Ukraine (16.15 Mt or 106.5% to Jan-Sept 2020) occupies the 10th position among 38 world pig iron producers.
Steel
The steel world production in Jan-Sept 2021 is 1461.23 Mt that is of 7.84% higher than in Jan-Sept 2020 (1354.98 Mt).
China is a leader of the world steel production as well – Chinese steelmakers had produced 805.89 Mt that exceeds their steel production of Jan-Sept 2020 (789.97 Mt) on 2.02%. The share of China in the world steel production is 55.2%.
Italy (18.52 Mt or 126.9% to Jan-Sept 2020) had raised from 12th to 11th position, shifting Vietnam (17.24 Mt or 132.4%) down to 12th position.
Ukraine (16.29 Mt or 106.3% to Jan-Sept 2020) occupies 14th position among 64 world steel producers.
