Pig Iron
According to Worldsteel, in Jan-March 2010 steelmaking countries of the world had produced 358.23 Mt of the pig iron, of which 335.09 Mt by BFs and 23.14 Mt as DRI. This is 5.67% higher to Jan-March 2020 (339.01 Mt).
The first place belongs to China, steelmakers of which in Jan-March 2021 had produced 220.97 Mt that exceeds Jan-March 2020 (204.60 Mt) on 8.00%. The share of the Chinese pig iron in the world production in Jan-March 2021 is 61.7%.
Ukraine (5.31 Mt or 104.3% to Jan-March 2021) occupies the 10th position among 38 pig iron producers.

Steel
The steel world production in Jan-March 2021 is 486.88 Mt that is of 9.99% higher than in Jan-March 2020 (442.67 Mt).
China is a leader of the world steel production as well – Chinese steelmakers had produced 271.04 Mt that exceeds their steel production of Jan-March 2020 (234.46 Mt) on 15.60%. The share of China in the world steel production is 55.7%.
Ukraine (5.29 Mt or 99.5% to Jan-March 2020) occupies 13th position among 64 world steel producers.
