Ukraine in the World Ferrous Production for 11 Months 2019
Pig Iron
According to Worldsteel, for 11 months 2019 steelmaking countries of the world had produced 1240.81 Mt of the pig iron, of which 1158.31 Mt by BFs and 82.50 Mt as DRI. This exceeds the analogue period of 2018 (1213.13Mt) on 2.28%.
The first place belongs to China, steelmakers of which in Jan-Nov 2019 had produced 738.94 Mt that exceeds the same period of 2018 (703.41 Mt) on 5.05%. The share of the Chinese pig iron in the world production for the period of Jan-Nov 2019 is 59.6%.
Positions of other leading countries are same as before.
Ukraine occupies the 10th position among 40 world pig iron producers (18.46 Mt or 98.55% to 11 months 2018).
Steel
The steel world production for 11 months 2019 is 1684.19 Mt that is on 2.68% higher than for same period of 2018 (1640.23 Mt).
China is a leader of the world steel production as well – Chinese steelmakers had produced 904.17 Mt that exceeds the steel production in China in the same period of 2018 (844.89 Mt) on 7.02%. The share of China in the world steel production is 53.7%.
Positions of other leading countries are same as before.
Among 62 world steelmaking countries, Ukraine occupies the 13th position (19.29 Mt or 100.38% to Jan-Nov 2018).
