Ukraine in the World Ferrous Production in Jan-June 2021

Pig Iron
According to Worldsteel, in Jan-June 2010 steelmaking countries of the world had produced 734.92 Mt of the pig iron, of which 683.78 Mt by BFs and 51.14 Mt as DRI. This is 7.28% higher to Jan-June 2020 (685.06 Mt).
The first place belongs to China, steelmakers of which in Jan-June 2021 had produced 456.38 Mt that exceeds Jan-June 2020 (438.83 Mt) on 4.00%. The share of the Chinese pig iron in the world production in Jan-June 2021 is 62.1%.
Ukraine (10.77 Mt or 108.0% to Jan-June 2020) occupies the 10th position among 38 pig iron producers.

Steel
The steel world production in Jan-June 2021 is 1003.93 Mt that is of 14.39% higher than in Jan-June 2020 (877.61 Mt).
China is a leader of the world steel production as well – Chinese steelmakers had produced 563.33 Mt that exceeds their steel production of Jan-June 2020 (503.87 Mt) on 11.80%. The share of China in the world steel production is 56.1%.
Vietnam (12.67 Mt or 167.7% to Jan-June 2020) had raised from 12th to 14th position, shifting Taiwan (11.37 Mt or 106.0%) down to 13th position.
Ukraine (10.86 Mt or 107.4% to Jan-June 2020) occupies 14th position among 64 world steel producers.
