Pig Iron

According to Worldsteel, in Jan-Nov 2021 steelmaking countries of the world had produced 1310.09 Mt of the pig iron, of which 1216.26 Mt by BFs and 93.83 Mt as DRI. This is 1.53% higher to Jan-Nov 2020 (1290.37 Mt).

The first place belongs to China, steelmakers of which in Jan-Nov 2021 had produced 796.23 Mt that is less than in Jan-Nov 2020 (831.14 Mt) on 4.20%. The share of the Chinese pig iron in the world production in Jan-Nov 2021 is 60.8%.

Ukraine (19.44 Mt or 104.5% to Jan-Nov 2020) occupies the 10^th position among 38 world pig iron producers.

Steel

The steel world production in Jan-Nov 2021 is 1752.51 Mt that is of 4.47% higher than in Jan-Nov 2020 (1677.53 Mt).

China is a leader of the world steel production as well – Chinese steelmakers had produced 946.36 Mt that is less than their steel production of Jan-Nov 2020 (971.62 Mt) on 2.60%. The share of China in the world steel production is 54.0%.

Ukraine (19.62 Mt or 104.9% to Jan-Nov 2020) occupies 14^th position among 64 world steel producers.
