Ukraine in the World Ferrous Production in Jan-Dec 2021

Pig Iron
According to Worldsteel, in Jan-Dec 2021 steelmaking countries of the world had produced 1429.54 Mt of the pig iron, of which 1326.85 Mt by BFs and 102.69 Mt as DRI. This is 1.18% higher to Jan-Dec 2020 (1412.91 Mt).
The first place belongs to China, steelmakers of which in Jan-Dec 2021 had produced 868.57 Mt that is less than in Jan-Dec 2020 (907.60 Mt) on 4.30%. The share of the Chinese pig iron in the world production in Jan-Dec 2021 is 60.8%.
Ukraine (21.17 Mt or 103.6% to Jan-Dec 2020) occupies the 10th position among 38 world pig iron producers.
Steel
The steel world production in Jan-Dec 2021 is 1911.95 Mt that is of 3.82% higher than in Jan-Dec 2020 (1841.59 Mt).
China is a leader of the world steel production as well – Chinese steelmakers had produced 1032.79 Mt that is less than their steel production of Jan-Dec 2020 (1064.73 Mt) on 2.60%. The share of China in the world steel production is 54.0%.
Turkey (40.36 Mt or 112.7% to Jan-Dec 2020) raised from 8th to 7th position, shifting Germany (40.07 Mt or 112.3% to Jan-Dec 2020) to 8th position.
Ukraine (21.37 Mt or 103.6% to Jan-Dec 2020) occupies 14th position among 64 world steel producers.
